Rude, slow and unable to do the job!
Our 4 year old fridge broke down a few months ago. We called All Appliance Repairs, part of A&S services in Chorlton, who turned up pretty quickly whilst not exactly being friendly over the phone - like we bothered them in their busy day - sort of attitude. The "boss" took one look over around 30 seconds, declared it was a "faulty part" and quoted £185 for the part and another £50 for the installation to be paid when they did the job. Part took 2 weeks to come (baring in mind we had no fridge, with 2 kids and a small baby), and when they returned, the guy had 2 parts and claimed not to be sure which one was the right one! He fitted one, then the other, even though neither had a matching part number with that of the old part, and took off. He claimed we should "wait another 24 hours", which we did, and fridge still didn't work. Of course it took another 10 phone calls to get hold of him again and persuade him to come back. He eventually did, still making us feel like we were wasting his time and taking phone calls all the time he was here, and pressed a few buttons at the front of the fridge and left. The fridge then was at least working, but not the front panel, which was still flashing faulty. Again, he claimed this would "settle itself" after 24 hours.. it never did. And it was obvious the guy had no idea how to fix it. We then took a small insurance policy out, called a proper trader out, who promptly arrived with 2 new replacement boards (the right ones) and fixed the flashing panel in less then a minute, charging us nothing. Conclusion: "all appliances repairs" not only can't repair "all appliances" but they rip you off and treat you like a piece of dirt for the pleasure. Never again.
