Rude untrained staff even worse Duty Manager
Bought a camera that turned out to be faulty, returned to store the next day to get a refund (which I am entitled to, as the camera is faulty and returned within 30 days - It even says this on the Argos website) Had unpleasant dealings with two members of staff, Ben A and Mark, basically a battle to get my refund. Both very rude and loud, accusing me of being a lair. The Duty Manager - Ben A even said that I had been to a wedding the day before, used the camera and now that I didn't need it anymore, I'm trying to get a refund. When I said that wasn't the case, his reply was '' How do I know that'' The whole conversion was me made to feel very small whilst these two bullies accused me of being a lair and that they didn't care what it says on the Argos website or my rights as a customer. They had decided that they wouldn't be refunding me. When I said that I would be contacting their head office, the Duty Manager said ''You do that, and make sure you get my surname correct'' this was all said very loud, right by the checkout and in front of other customers queuing to pay. Happy to say that the other Argos store in Norwich, The Castle Mall were very polite and issued me with a refund.
