rude, untrustworthy, incompetent
They charged me rather a lot of money to do a poor job of resoling my boots. When I picked up the boots, I pointed out that the sole was unsightly in several places. The man said "no one will notice that" (though I had just noticed it, and at first glance). He also explained that the areas in question (sole cracked, gaps in the repair) would have to look that way for logistical reasons. If he'd told me that in the first place, I wouldn't have bothered having the shoes resoled. Lastly, I went there once before. The resoled a pair of hiking boots, doing such a bad job that I couldn't even walk in the boots. They apparently also put the wrong size sole on and then had to file it down. In filing it down, they permanently scuffed the leather in several places. They blamed this on me. The man is rude. The quality of workmanship is poor. Make the slightest suggestion that all is not well, and he gets aggressive. I don't trust him. I've given the two chances. I won't be going back.
