Avoid at all costs

Ok, to start i'd like to say if you're reading this review hopefully I have saved you from sending your equipment to this company as they are completely and utterly unprofessional and dishonest. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which I sent off to this company as It was bricked and stuck in a boot loop. Originally I filled in an online query sheet on a different site explaining what was wrong with my phone and asked about a price to fix it. A couple of days later I received a phone call saying they have received my query and if I would like to send my phone in. The guy on the phone said it would cost £17.50 for them to do a diagnostic on my phone. I agreed to pay this as I wanted to know what was wrong with. The guy on the phone said they would pay for a courier to pick up my phone which they did. I couple of days later I received an email with a repair quote. So I logged into my account on their website to check my messages. They quoted me £120 to fix the software problem. I couldn't afford this so I asked them to send the phone back. I got a message back the next day saying it will cost £9.99 to get your phone back. I sent them another message asking if this was to pay for a courier to send my phone back? I didn't received a reply for 3 days then when I logged back in to check my messages there was a message saying "please note we have repaired your phone" at this point I was very angry and phoned them. I was put through to the person who was repairing my phone. He told me the repair is almost complete. I said wait a second I told you not to fix my phone and told you to send it back to me. He said we have no evidence that supports you advising us off that. I explained that I had been speaking to someone through their website message board. He said he didn't have any information of this. I told him I have printed out all of the conversations and have them here. He quickly backtracked and said I will see if my manager will do you a better deal and reduce the price. I said no, just unfix what ever you have done and send my phone back to me. After paying the £9.99 plus vat I received my phone back today. My phone was in a clear microwavable tub with a sticker on it saying "liquid damage" when I turned my phone on it appears it has come back in a worse state than before as now it wont even turn on and go to the logo. There is no liquid damage as I have checked the liquid damage sticker in the back and its the same colour. This company are complete amateurs and dishonest with you from the start. Please avoid at all costs and take your phone somewhere you can trust.

TERRIBLE COMPANY

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF, THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY, THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT HELPING, THEY WILL KEEP YOUR PHONE AND IGNORE ALL EFFORTS TO CONTACT THEM, THEY WILL BREAK THE PRODUCT MORE TO TRY AND GET MORE MONEY OUT OF YOU. THEY QUOTE A PRICE THEN INVENT MORE PROBLEMS YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR, I WAS QUOTED £127 FOR EVERYTHING. NEXT DAY GOT AN EMAIL SAYING IT WILL COST AN EXTRA £80 TO FIX PROBLEMS THAT WEREN'T THERE BEFORE. THEY WILL KEEP YOUR PHONE IF U REFUSE TO PAY AND ASK FOR YOUR PRODUCT BACK. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CON ARTISTS.

Rip Off

I only give 1 star as I couldn't give any lower... I asked for a quote for the repair of my phone and received a quote for £47, upon receipt of a call I discussed with the caller and agreed that I would pay £17.00 for the device to be collected an assessment made and a call to advise of the costs. I sent my device for repair paying £17.00 for the device to be checked and then advised of repair cost, I never received any call however the device was repaired and I received a bill for £57.50 in addition to the £17.00 which I originally paid, I contacted them to advise the quote was for £47.50 and the £17.00 which I have originally paid would be deducted. Upon speaking to them I managed to get the £17.00 deducted and the cost would be £57.50 in total, not what was quoted. They would not remove the additional £10 charge, however I had to pay it or I wouldn't get my phone back. Avoid these rip off merchants at all cost!!!

Worst company ever

I wish to make a complaint and warn other potential customers about a Manchester trading company Elite Phones and Computers LTD, 190a Church Street, Manchester, M30 0LZ This company are both scandalous and shocking to deal with, in all am time that I have dealt with companies , I have never come across any quite like this, it’s absolutely scandalous. This is how this company operates. If you Google 'repair phone screen, or mobile phone repair' or something of that nature, you get sites that offer to give you a free quote if you put your details in. The site won't be elite's website so you won't know your item is going to them. Once you send the request for a quote, a lovely lady (Helen) will call you from cell number, in my case it was 07718173320. She will give you a very low quote and tell you it includes 2 way courier by UPS and UPS can come pick up your item the same day, and she takes a deposit of £17.50 or so over the phone. Immediately you are impressed when you hear a reputable courier like UPS and a low quote. THAT IS JUST TO DRAG YOU IN!!!. Once they get your item, the game changes, it is lies, extortion, threats & deception from that point. In my case, I was quoted £110 (but she does not tell you VAT is not included) to replace a cracked screen, on my sons Galaxy S3 mobile phone, she took £17.50 on the phone. They had my phone for 2 days, got a call from someone called Joann, she said they cannot just change the screen, the LCD has a fault too at an additional cost of £150, she wanted permission from me if I will agree to the increase in cost before they do the job. I told her that the initial web contact from me clearly stated that the phone needed an LCD screen and the cover glass both renewing, all I could get from her was, well it needs the screen changing, and its £167.50 total. I had no choice but agree. Three days later I called to enquire about progress, after a number of tries to get through I, was finally told the phone was finished, and would be posted out that day on a next day delivery i.e. Saturday, com the Monday I again tried to call and was eventually told that it wasn’t sent on the Thursday, but was going today on UPS, and even give a new ups tracking number. I looked on the ups web site and found that this also was a load of rubbish, and they had not collect the phone. Called EP&C back again, got someone else, who told me they don’t use couriers to return phones, they use royal mail. More confusion, and lies. The screen had been replaced. When the phone was turned on it would not work right, the screen colour resolution was extremely poor, all yellows were green, and white text was pink, the screen faded on and off, and it went off on two or three occasions. I called EPC to complain I got an extremely shirty response indeed. Almost to the point where EPC were not going to do anything about it. In the end the woman said she needed to get authorisation to re-repair the phone. She said she’d call back, but never did. Three days later I called them back, again a number of times to see what was happening. I was told to send the phone back to them at my cost, and they would look at it, I asked how long this would take she said 3 days. About 30 phone calls (4-5 of which actually got answered) and several promise, of call backs, emails responses, web site addresses that don’t work, and general bullsh*t, I finely got the phone back dead on 3 weeks later. The phone volume control button on the side of the device does not work now, and it was fine when it was sent to EPC. The screen does actually work now. So this phone repair took one day short of a month to sort. In summary, The EP&C website is full of rubbish and untruths. The initial contact and quote was designed to snag me, and real me in. They knew they intended to charge more. The phone contacts (i.e. conversations) with EP&C are some of the worst I have ever come across in 25 years of operational management. The staff on the phone were really poor un-professional, discourteous, and not very polite, and this does not even include the lies they told. The information given was nearly always wrong, often contradicting each other. Never call back once, or email, despite saying on 7-8 occasion that they would. Lying about couriers and dispatch information, even to the point of giving me a return UPS tracking number, (UPS said no item had been collected) more lies. This company is quite frankly the worst company I have ever had the miss fortune to deal with. To make this point I was one day of calling the Manchester police, and the Manchester city council Trading Standards dept, that’s how poor this company service actually was. Where I can give reviews for EP&C it will unfortunately be a negative review in the extreme. Others need to be made aware of this company’s poor performance and extremely bad working practices.

Absolute Scam

Recently submitted my new phone for repair. Advised that it was repaired and was charged £95. I had sent my phone to this company to be fixed to operational level not to stare at it like a Picasso. When returned I could switch it on and off - that was it!! Apparently I "agreed" (nothing in writing) to have it returned in that condition and charged £95 for the pleasure of that facility! Unable to use it to make basic calls rendering the phone completely useless. Complained to female member of staff who pretty much laughed down the phone at me and told me to 'Stick it on E-Bay'! I am livid and seeking legal advice - this firm is run by total jokers and ignorant clowns who lack any ability to deal with customers nor cannot fix phones but fleece their customers anyway for telling them!! Avoid like the plague!!! If there was a negative rating for this company, you'd win hands down.

CON ARTISTS!!!

Do not use this company!!! They are impossible to get hold of and when you do finally get hold of them they will either hang up on you or insult you. I have had to contact the Manchester police department due to the refusal to return my item with cost me nearly £700! Mohamed and Ahemad are by far the most rude and unhelpful staff I have ever come across. There are reveiws everywhere saying the same thing. Do not use this company!

Elite Repair team Responce

We advise customers to call us if they have not heard within the 48 hr schedule as this means there may be additional problems. We do not call the customer unless we are quoting after diagnostics or confirming the repair is complete. We communicate via email and have since upgraded our communication facilities as automatic once there is any change logged on the repair this end, it will send auto email to the customer. Not the best communication but fantastic repair

Sent my ipad 3 and iphone 4 in to be fixed, ipad 3 had a cracked screen and iphone 4 couldn't hear phone calls, they fixed both within 2 days and phoned me back on 2nd day to make payment then was sent back the same day i recieved the day after, was a struggle to get through as must be a busy company but eventually recieved a phone call and now both sill working and top quality, will come here again

Avoid like the plague

Sent my sons iPod for repair paid £70 for new screen then told needed on/ off button which was working went sent, Returned after 3 weeks to find the on/ off button that cost an extra £10 still didn't work plus now the volume button didn't work. Called them and sent back received back another 3 weeks later and now apparently it is beyond repair what a con I will be contacting trading standards. I have one very upset 9 year old with no iPod

Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. had nothing but trouble with this company. Very long story but quick low down: Had to keep phoning Trading Standards for advice on how to deal with Them. Terrible customer service, rude and incompetent staff. Sent ipad in for screen repair, came back with different issue. Was told ipad would be fixed in 2 days, 4 weeks later sent to different address (was staying with family over xmas period). Have had to drive 2 hours to collect ipad from family. Nobody ever calls you back. Didn't receive any compensation for how i was treated. Really stressful. If my ipad didn't have such personal information on it i would have told them where to shove it.Finally spoke to a lady after hours of persistence who sorted the situation out, if it wasn't for her i would have driven to Manchester myself.

awful

sent my blackberry in promised a 2 day diagnostic and call to say what the problems was, got my phone back 3 weeks after I called and emailed numerous times , no contact from them. plus £80 for the repair, same problem as before, not repaired terrible customer care. They promise to call back it never happens. They seem to have no method of tracking the property they keep

DON'T DO IT!!!

I wanted my iPad home button and charger replaced but instead 2 weeks later I got the exact same iPad back with no replacements.. Had it sent back again for them to 'fix' but instead got billed for a new screen and almost £200 later I am still not happy. They 'lost my screen protector, charger and suddenly they are too busy to send it back... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! You will only get a headache.. Extremely poor customer service!!! You'll never get an apology, they are too busy to give you one!
