Testimonials

Amazing stay to end a perfect camping trip. 5 of 5 bubblesReviewed 11 August 2016 via mobile My fiancé and I had been camping for a week and decided to treat ourselves to a cozy accommodation to end our trip. We chose this wonderful place. We were greeted by one of the owners, William, who gave us a very warm welcome. We ate at the restaurant, where food was prepared by the other owner (his wife Sally). The food was beyond great and everything on the menu sounded very tasty. You could tell a lot of work and passion was put into the meals. As a plus, the crumble for dessert was the best that I have had. We met Sally after and had a nice conversation with her and William after the meal in the pub. We even received a free glass of prosecco for our engagement. Breakfast the next morning was also top notch. We both agreed in the end that this was the best accommodation we have experienced in Scotland in 3 years of living here. I would recommend anyone passing through this area to stay here for a great experience. We will be back again for sure to walk the hills around the lodge.

“Best Food On The Trip” 5 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 September 2016 Wow !!!! Just returned from a week in The Highlands and quite by chance stumbled across this amazing place on the last night . Had it been the first night we would have spent the holiday budget there no problem . How the incredible chef Sally can pack so much flavour into her dishes is beyond us. The menu is varied and the everything we tried on both plates was a delight. She and her staff are friendly ,engaging and very down to earth. Sally came out of the kitchen for a chat during the evening and was very nice to talk to. We genuinely cannot recommend this hotel enough in terms of ambience and food quality. We would definately return should we visit the area in the future . If you don't book to eat there you are missing out on a hidden gem !!!!! Stayed September 2016, travelled as a couple

“Another great visit” Reviewed 24 September 2016 via mobile We've been here twice now and it doesn't disappoint. The food is fantastic in both quality and value for money. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. The owners made us feel very welcome and were as helpful as ever. The meal we had in the evening was amazing with very generous portions

“Home away from home” Reviewed 25 September 2016 Fantastic food, beautiful views from every room. Doomed are gorgeous. Will & Sally are very warm & make you feel like you are home. They are very knowledgeable about place to go & visit. Loved every second we spent there. In fact we extended our stay, can not wait to go back.
