Took my car in as an emergency repair as my passenger window pane had fallen out of its clip and into the door panel, and dropped my car off at the Southend on Sea branch whilst I went to work around the corner. When I got home I not only discovered my driver side headlamp washer cover was missing but my bumper wasn't on properly on the drivers side. As Kwik-Fit was only supposed to touch my passenger door I knew straight away the engineers had been fiddling with my car and stolen my headlamp washer cover. My husband has now looked under the bumper of my car and found that the Kwik-Fit engineers have not only stolen the headlamp cover but they have stolen the whole headlamp washer system from my car. I am absolutely disgusted by the fact that Kwik-Fit think they can get away with stealing parts off of customer's cars and think they can take advantage of me because I am a woman. When you make a formal complaint in writing they just ignore you for 6 weeks until repeatedly chased and even after being informed by Essex Police that they are liable for any damages caused to a car whilst in their care and that they must make a claim on their public liability insurance they just try and fob you off. Complete and utter cowboys and rip-off scam merchants! DO NOT USE KWIK-FIT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

Arrived at a Birmingham KwikFit garage today at 11.00 am to have an exhaust fitted. At 3.00 pm it still hadn't been put on the ramp. While sitting waiting, I heard the manager answering the phone. "Yes John, bring it round now and I'll look at it." "Hello Carl, just bring it in." "Hi Dave, come straight away." He was putting his mates in front of waiting customers. I gave up after waiting for 4 hours, went to another garage (not KwikFit), had the exhaust fitted within 40 minutes and the bill was £80 cheaper than KwikFit had quoted. So, what do I do now? I will relate this story to 20 or so friends who will tell 20 or so others... and so on. I will also place this on every social media site I can find. I will also contact the KwikFit head office and personally write to Directors; Kenji Murai, Ian Vincent Ellis, Paul Boulton, Peter Henry Lambert and Mark Richard Slade. The moral for all KwikFit employees is, be decent and honest with your customers, because you never know who is sitting in your waiting area.

on 14/05/15 i took my car to get MOT as my mechanic was on holiday. I was surprised when they told me it had failed because I needed new front brake pads ! I had had them replaced 3 weeks earlier ! I challenged this and then they said they were bedding in ! i also challenged this they quickly changed this to wheel bearings on the back brakes " "did i not hear the knocking " NO i said as there was none they replied well it must be cos you have the radio on !!! NO ! the back brakes discs and calipers had been replaced in febuary if the bearings had been needing replaced my mechanic would have done them as I did not want to call my mechanic as he was on holiday abroad i had no alternitive but to get them done at the cost of £200 and waiting all afternoon whilst the work got carried out very slowly !! I may be female but i have been driving since before the average age of the "mechanics" in there. I am not happy being "stigmatised" as she is a female and probably can be fobbed off . Upon my mechanics return from holiday i told him what they had said and done He advised me to write in a complaint to head office as there was nothing wrong with the bearings . I will never again use Kwikfit for mot . I cannot give a rating below as i am also left with a lightbulb, that was replaced also for mot, that is still not working. To say i feel disappointed and ripped off is an understatement ,

took my car in for MOT, they failed it. not only did they do that but they contacted me a day later to tell me and said they could quote me prices on getting it fixed. they said that my suspension was worn along with my two front tyres and my steering was not working. I challenged them about my steering not working as I never ever had a problem with it to begin with. so when I got there all of a sudden my steering magically repaired itself and I was told that it started working again. only to my shock and horror on the journey home my steering seized up and I could not even park my car. I truly believe they tempered with it thinking I was going to allow them to fix it instead of taking it to a other garage. they are complete scammers and rip offs. and know to top it all of my car refuses to start even though I had a new battery put in two months ago.

my daughter has previously had awful experiences with kwikfit in lowestoft since moving to basingstoke ive had impeccable sevice and its been a real pleasure to go see the kwikfit guys in houndmills i have a motability van and they have more than gone the extra mile my eldest has now been to see the same group and agrees with me shes had her confidence in them more than restored this team are the best there is both in skill knowledge and manners adele my eldest tried recently to get some follow on wk done at the cambridge kwikfit they couldnt give a quote inside two hrs even when she got there as they wouldnt do over the phone then said it would be 3hrs to sort the car however having come bk to basingstoke to see the guys not only did they sort it didnt need all the wk we suspected and they sorted it free of charge as it was something minor not the complex job orig thought also while we were there a chap came in with a dog and despite being busy the manager had time not only to offer but also to provide water for the same dog because client satisfaction and care come first he has a super team and i hope he continues to have for many yrs to come hes one very rare amazing boss and his team are brilliant happy and the whole team deserve a bonus they always go the extra mile and more so for the disabled its a real pleasure to go and see then i hope you have an internal awards scheme or something as these guys deserve it

i took my car in for a winter service and now my car bonnet is not opening they have messed my car up i cant even open my bonnet at all i used kwitfit in galashiels bridge street the manager is not very polite and told me to get out of shop cause they wasnt gonna fix the issue they made of my car i use them load before i spent over 900 pound on my other car plus mot 35 pound they refused it i got work done by them and i still had to pay another 35 pound for another mot i think this kwitfit is getting worse they think it right they can talk to customers how they like and not get complaints

i took out kwik fit insurance yesterday while at the side of the road as i had just bought a new car, kwik fit recieved payment from my bank then told me im not insured as payment was not taken, so i had to get recovery to come and take my new car back to my home costing me £75.00 i have sent 6 emails and phoned them more than 5 times and they say payment has not been recieved, the car is still sat on my drive without insurance, now they are saying my policy does not start for another 2 weeks?? so i ask for a refund as they have give me nothing and ive had to pay out further, but they are also saying i can only have a refund if i pay another £58.30 (this is the same ammount as the original deposit) i feel sick with anger!!! there is nobdy to contact just crappy customer service and they just tell a load of rubbish, i cannot contact anybody from head office, this company is the biggest joke, my bank says payment has been taken, so what do i do now? call the police? somebody has stole my money and its not me, i have a car on my drive thats just taken up all my funds so i now have to sell it! I WISH I COULD TALK TO SOMEBODY FACE TO FACE

Went into my local Basingstoke branch to be told that my tracking was not correct, Left it or nearly 3 hours. 2days later i noticed that it was pulling badly to the left so i rang and was fobbed off, I then noticed that my tyres had worn on the inside of drivers and outside od passengers side, took it in this morning and was shown that my tracking was incorrect and that had caused the wear, Offered to SELL me 2 new tyres even though it was their error that had caused the excessive wear they were not preparred to do anything about the tyres as i had not brought them there, They then so called corrected the tracking and i took the print out to my local garage who said that it still was not correct, What a waste of money Quickfit are, AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I would like to commend the service given to me at the Kwik Fit station in Fenwick Road in Glasgow on 4th March 2014. I had a problem getting the valve caps off and it turned out all of them had corroded. The valves were replaced by the team so quickly I was very impressed. The mechanic who initially helped me ( sorry didn't get his name)was brilliant. The company is very fortunate to have such dedicated and helpful staff. Can you please pass this on and give some recognition to the guys on duty who helped me. I am very grateful. Aileen Ramsay

I wouldn't even give them one star for anything I went in with puncture was told unrepairable would cost me £220 new tyre I told them no put spare on , Went to local garage next morning expecting to get told same no £7 repair in 20 min come on Quick fit please stop stop rip people off I would rather walk next time ever get puncture again than get con by you nasty nasty people paisley road west branch Glasgow steer clear people

Kwik fit: The worst service experience I ever had in my life. I gave my Honda Accord to change the alternator in Headington, Oxford garage and they broke my power steering mechanism when they try to change the alternator and the car is still in their workshop for the last 3 days to get a proper mechanic from outside. I complaint to the customer service and the are really crap. The un qualified mechanics broke all the steering pipes and parts.

Called into quick fit Wembley with a puncture which they repaired but also told me my brakes needed replacing ASAP costing £250.00. I went to another small local garage and was quoted £113.00 they checked the brakes and said the brakes are fine and still another 10,000 miles left on them at least, so do not need to be done....... Kwik Fit are scaremongers no better way to put it, rubbish company and will never use them again.

There was a slight noise in my back wheels when braking, no impairment in performance, tested thoroughly and were working fine. My wife noticed on their website that Kwik-Fit offer a "free brake check". To put her mind at ease she drove the car down there. They said that our brakes were completely destroyed and that the car wasn't fit for road use, they said our ABS was broken and needed replacing and that we needed a full new set of rear brakes. Total cost £500. I said no thanks and asked them to put it back together, they said this wasn't possible. After several phone calls they backed down and agreed to put my car back together. I arranged to have the car towed as I couldn't afford the £500. As they said my brakes were no longer working and my ABS was broken - even though both were working perfectly before going in to Kwik-Fit. I think it's quite clear that the purpose of their "free brake check" is so they can get your car in there before sabotaging it and demanding huge sums to make it roadworthy again. Disgusting service from a national company and almost certainly criminal - although I've no idea how to go about pursuing that. I've called a local garage who - although they haven't seen the car - are confident they can do the work Kwik-Fit had quoted for about half the price.

After my 5 months pregnant daughter in law went in to the waterlooville branch for help as her exhaust had fallen off, she had parked up in asda which is just a 2minute walk away from there garage she walked to there shop and asked if someone could just come and help( as being heavely preganant and only been driving since april this year and was very shook up by the noise in which it had fallen off she didnt want to drive it). she was then told they couldnt do anything unless she drove it to there shop but this would have been a good 10-15 mins with the route she would have had to drove, the only help the said they could give was to ring AA, when she then phoned me to tell me what had happened i went down to the store to be told a different story to what they had told my daughter in law. I'm absolutey disgusted with the attitude of the staff at kwik fit waterlooville treating a pregnant women with the disregard and lack of help from the staff, whilst having another customer willing to come and help.

while on holiday this week in cornwall, we needed new tyres, must point out that our car is a motorbility car. we were visiting Newquay so went into kwik fit as they are who we have to deal with. we explaned that we had been advised about the tyres when stopped by police about a headlight out, we were told that there were several infront of us & would be about an hr, we asked, what just to look at it to say if they are ok till we get home tomorrow? he did then come outside & said they needed replacing. but couldn't do it till sat, we had told him we were going home fri. he said we could try St Austell kwik fit, gave us the number for us to ring,, said he couldn't. we did ring them. the man gave us directions as to how to get there missing the road works, we got there just befor closing. he not only stayed & replaced all my tyers, making him late to close, we had asked him where we could get something to eat, he recomended a place, drew a map, wished us a safe trip home. HE WAS BRILLIANT! THE DIFFERENCE between the two gararges, 1 couldn't give a toss the other couldn't do enough. in the late 80s I decided to take out a lifelong guarantee with an Exhaust system. Most exhausts would cost £30 in those days Kwik Fit Charged £120 and insisted on even the front manifold be changed. They did not think I would still own the car nearly25 years later. However everytime I have gone to have the exhaust system fixed and show the guarnatee, I am told its fine. So I always saya can you look at my exhaust and do not show them the paperwork. They always says its need a new one, so then I pull out the guarantee. Their faces drop! I then get a tonne of questions as to the proof I am the owner, and ask for I.D. and registration. The latest was a real farce, having had an exhaust installed under guarantee, they scrated the paint, the exhaust was defective, and they said they would order a new one. I am still waiting 21 days later for the exhaust. Yet on a certain aution site they are widely available. So why the delay? I rue the day I went to **** Fit!

This is my second time dealing with kwik fit never again. They wrote the wrong mileage on my mot. When I went to ask them to fix this they threw the mot certificate in my face literally. This happened at staples corner centre. His name was Novak markos and the other guy who printed the certificate was as bad as him and not helpfully at all I had my three kids with me they treated me horribly I came home and cried. Stay away from them thief's. They said something wrong with my headlights when nothing wrong with them as I had serviced my car at Mazda a week prior to taking the car for mot. Stay away something that 10 pounds will end up by costing you hundreds.

Two and half hours for oil change, booked in one week early. They got wrong parts, went to Bradford for filter when car shop next door. Then when I checked oil when I got home it was at min on oil dip stick. So not very good

A Rip Off company will offer £30.00 MOT but charge over the top retest £27.00 Again under 24 hours too! tried to charge £800.00 for break callipers that was worth only £300 for the set!
