Welcome

The Magna Carta School is an 11 -16 fully comprehensive school in the heart of Surrey, providing the local community with an outstanding educational establishment.

Welcome from the Head

One of the most important decisions you will ever make is where to send your child to school. At The Magna Carta School we know that children thrive in a safe, supportive environment where they are challenged to do their best.

With an emphasis on learning, the school takes pride in its many achievements and understands that good behaviour and respect for self and others underpins a positive learning environment. The most recent Ofsted inspection emphasised this and we are delighted that the inspection report acknowledges the excellent work of the staff and students at The Magna Carta School, stating that ‘This is a good school with many outstanding features’.

I extend a warm invitation to you to visit our school and witness for yourselves the students excelling themselves in a wide variety of ways.

Tim Smith
Head

About Us

The Magna Carta School is an 11 -16 fully comprehensive school in the heart of Surrey, providing the local community with an outstanding educational establishment. Please take a look around our website to find out more about the school and also what we offer to our community.

At The Magna Carta School we offer a 2 year Key Stage 3 (Years 7 and 8) and then a 3 year Key Stage 4 (Years 9, 10 and 11), our students then leave the school and go on either to college or full time work.On the 16th October 2009, The Magna Carta School Council met for the first time this academic year.

The meeting was chaired by our Head Girl and Boy, Laura Roser and Andrew Robinson, and was fully attended by Year Representatives from all four Houses. The meeting was very lively and full of debate as students discussed how they would like their School Council to be run and what changes they would like to be made at school.
