Owner very knowledgeable about Carlisle and helpful. Couldn't do enough. Breakfast a feast. Room adequate, clean and tidy. The accommodation was as expected - no hidden surprises. Good service, pleasant owner - who went the extra mile. (Thought we might miss our train offered to drive us to the station).

Only stayed the 1 night, with my young son, as we were in Carlisle for the Eddie Stobart fest. Used to always this B&B when I was younger, and always enjoyed it. Have to say this was as I remembered.Room was Clean and comfortable, very little noise from outside, although my son enjoyed sitting at the window and watching the traffic at times! especially the Eddie Stobart lorries that passed!

Needed two nights reasonable priced accommodation near to town for daughter's graduation ceremony. Arrived approx 9pm on night one. Warm welcome and rooms warm and clean. In a rush on morning one so only had bacon sandwiches at our request. Time decided by us and cooked hot and fresh. Took advantage of full cooked on morning two and was excellent. Again cooked fresh for when we wanted it.Rooms very quiet even though near main road. House clean, tidy and warm. Landlord chatty and welcoming. Food excellent

Comfortable relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. Would surely recommend it to friends. Beware of the humongous freshly cooked breakfasts. The owner (Roy) sole purpose seemed to be that you had an enjoyable stay in and around Carlisle. Full of information and suggestions of things to do and see and recommended excellent restaurants.
