We moved into our home in April last year which has 2 fireplaces. One was operational and the other needed (what we thought) a spare part. My husband got carried away by Christmas fever and bought a "NU-Flame fire replacement from Palace Fires for £385.00! We then called in a fitter who adviced us that ths was going to be a costly business as we had to hire a chimney sweep and a plumber/fitter. We changed our minds about the fire. In case you are ignorant on this subject as we were, please note they will not take it back even though it's new and unopened and even to return some of our money if not all. I wish he'd bought it at John Lewis who are a totally honourable outfit. This has really put me off small local businesses.
