Pentlands Management company took over the development i live at the end of 2011/beginning of 2012. The management fees increased by 60% to £1100 for a 1 bedroomed 500sqfoot flat per Annum. The Development itself has gone down incredibly, Pot holes in the road, unfinished repair works, street lamps which do not work, weeds on all pavemwnts. The Canals are full of weeds and stink and the general matienance (i.e cutting the grass) is done in a Hap-Hazard way. When you contact Pentlands to query this Mike McDermott is very talented in writing a long essay back but with no specific details. With over a year of requesting Invoices as proof or Quotes for the cleaners etc they are unable to provide tham as they are with the accounts and they do not keep copies. Whilst trying to get to the bottom of costs, or making a complaint about the development youwill recieve rude and threating letters to pay your bill. I wish i had never brought my first home as i know work 3 jobs to pay for this maintanance fees. I recommend anyone looking to buy a property where this company is the management to not go through with the purchase, You stand to lose a lot of Money and recieve threating letters without any customer support.
