Puddleducks Children’s Day Nursery is situated just outside the village of Sheriff Hutton, on the main road heading towards Strensall. Our brand new, purpose built nursery boasts spacious rooms and large, enclosed outdoors areas for children to play and learn. Having been designed and built with children and their needs in mind, our nursery is a well-designed, homely environment. We have our own private car park to the front of the building, which has plenty of spaces.
Outside we have a very exciting play area, fully enclosed and private. The area has been designed with children’s safety in mind, so has a soft tarmac surface. The area is separated by gates, so that the resources and equipment within each area are appropriate to the developmental stages of our children. There is lots of room in order to meet children’s physical needs, and we also boast a huge sandpit; muddy digging pit; large decked performance area and planting beds, all of which encourage imagination and multi-sensory learning.
We have a strong team ethic, essential to delivering the quality childcare that you depend and rely upon. All our team are highly qualified and we value the different experiences that each member of our staff brings. Continuous professional development is at the core of our team, and we all continually attend relevant training to ensure high standards.
Parent partnerships are vital to ensure each child develops to their full potential. Parents are the primary carers, and we aim to support and complement the development occurring at home. This requires an open, constant dialogue between parents/carers and our team. You know your own children better than anyone, and we rely on you regularly sharing information with us.
We aim to provide a warm, homely and caring environment to help each child reach their full potential. We will provide rich, varied activities and resources to help make your child’s time with us as happy and interesting as we can.
We are fully registered with Ofsted and meet all of the requirements set out by the government bodies. We continually work with North Yorkshire County Council Early Years team to ensure quality provision.
We have close links with the community and work in conjunction with many of the village schools around us.
Open 51 weeks of the year.
Open Monday to Friday 7.30 - 18.00
