Unpaid agents fees
Stuck in Mombasa for 1 week waiting for Russels freight to sort out release of our container. 1 week of being told "the manager is in a meeting". These people take our money and do not deliver. Experts at avoiding calls and e-mails. Avoid at all costs!

Russell's freight CON Artists
I had purchased four vehicles in UK for my own company and arranged with Russell's to ship them to Walvis in Namibia. I had visited their offices and they where very helpfull. They advised me to also pay for the agent fees in Namibia as this would be easier. Once I arrived to collect the vehicles in Namibia they had not paid for the agent fees or the shipping company so the vehicle where stuck in the port. I had to fight with them by threats of lawyers till they paid for the shipping. I had to pay port storage charges as well as the clearing agent fees again. I am very upset with the time hassle and extra cost they have cause me. I will not recommend Russell's freight to anyone and advise to look at all the other bad reviews.

Upon first approaching Russells Freight for a quotation to ship a vehicle to Asia, they gave me a competitive price, and a quick date. The 800GBP included pick up of the vehicle. However, after payment, my emails were ignored. And the shipment was not made on the promised date. I had to chase up the situation myself, via long distance calls. Still, they missed another 2 promised shipment dates. Despite ignoring emails to query the situation, they also refused to make long distance calls to update us on the situation. Finally when they did pick up the car back to the port. I was told after I chased them up that there were problems with the vehicle and that they needed to hire special equipment to load it. Again, I was not informed of any decisions they made in the process, and after repeatedly asking for the price of such services was ignored. Promised updates never came. And once the vessel had left (which I still do not know when it did) I received a ridiculous bill for another 400GBP for this special equipment. They were very quick in asking for payment. But are an inefficient and rude company, who do not care for slightest about their customers. When I emailed to dispute this charge, I was threatened that the cargo would be abandoned and so forth. And the Manager Tom told us he would not track the vessel for us due to the dispute, and that we should do it ourselves. Overall - rude, expensive, inefficient, delayed.
