I have a professional team of 2, highly skilled in all aspects of double glazing both repairs and installation. Our staff have built up more than 30 years experience in this industry. We did have a much larger workforce but all that happened was prices were higher to cover overheads. This is the optimum level of experienced staff we require and many thousands of customers would back this up.
As a repairs orientated company we can often avoid the need to replace your faulty windows and doors. The problems encountered are usually easily remedied by a simple repair or replacement of a part whether it's locks, lockstrips, hinges, etc..
Window repairs where misted or cracked units are concerned will result in a replacement double glazed unit.
Shrunken gasket is another common problem with double glazing, however, there is no need to panic. A shrunken gasket does not mean your glazed unit is at risk of falling out, it is quite safe. It may cause some draughts and may look a little unsightly, but it is easily cured.
Aluminium and uPVC patio doors often suffer from worn tracks and wheels, which can be replaced at a fraction of the cost of replacing your patio doors.
The best way to prolong the life of your hinges, locks and lockstrips is to keep them oiled. All you need is a lubricating oil, such as WD40 for example, and use this on all of the moving parts of the hinge / lock / lockstrip on your door or window about once every couple of months. The keeps, the part the locking sections lock into, should be oiled also, even though they are not moving parts it does help to keep them lubricated.
