Hypnotherapists in Bournemouth
29a Brackendale Road
With our integrated counselling, hypnotherapy, EFT and coaching approach to treatment, we can offer you a completely individual, friendly service.
At Swanstherapy we appreciate that it is sometimes very difficult to pick up the phone and ask someone for help, but we recognise that this shows that you are, at least, willing to talk about making those changes that will improve your life and that is a big step on your own personal journey.
We accept that you are a unique, valuable individual and that you deserve to be listened to and understood, so that we can give you the best treatment we can offer, tailored to suit your own personal needs and circumstances.
We may have ten clients, for example, that all want to lose weight, but each will have their own reasons, their own strengths and weaknesses, their own eating habits and their own personal backgrounds, so it follows that one set agenda will not suit everyone. Whatever your particular problem, we need to hear your story, understand where you are now and where you want to be and then do the best we can to help you to reach that goal.
If you haven't experienced hypnotherapy before, you will find some useful information on our Q &A page and may be suprised by the wide range of problems that can be treated successfully using hypnotherapy in our treatments section. For those who have had previous experience of hypnotherapy, we are sure that you are already aware of the many benefits it can bring, not only helping to alleviate a particular problem but also leaving you feeling totally relaxed and positive about yourself.
Counselling and psychotherapy are perhaps more familiar terms for some people, particularly in dealing with issues such as bereavement and relationship problems, but can also be used to address more deep rooted issues such as anger and depression. For more information visit our counselling page.
There is much discussion and confusion regarding the differences between counselling and psychotherapy, so let us start by saying that at Swans Therapy we do not make much of a distinction. The two are very closely linked and follow very similar patterns and models of treatment, and while it is generally considered that psychotherapy deals with deeper issues than counselling, this is not always the case. At Swans Therapy we regard every client as a unique individual and adapt our course of treatment according to your specific needs rather than sticking to any set formula.
We also integrate hypnotherapy into the treatment where we feel it is appropriate and will be of specific benefit to you, the client. However this will always be fully explained and agreed before this treatment is included. We have found through experience that hypnotherapy is very useful to quickly resolve certain issues that may otherwise be blocking progress, and regression work can often unearth relevant memories, long forgotten, deep within the subconscious mind which throw new light on current problems.
Anger is a perfectly natural reaction to a situation that we feel uncomfortable with or unable to control, often stemming from frustration. We all have our own ways of coping with our anger, but sometimes it is allowed to build up through a series of events which can then be both mentally and physically damaging for both ourselves and others around us. Counselling can help you, not only to remain in control of that anger, but to channel it in positive ways to resolve the very issues that create it.
Counselling and psychotherapy can be used to resolve many problems and those above are just a small selection of what can be achieved. If you have a particular issue you would like to discuss, please feel free to call on 01202 303722 for a confidential chat or email email@example.com
"Very quickly staff recognised the value of counselling or hypnotherapy and Joy has supported many staff throughout this year. Although I appreciate this is a confidential service, some staff have been willing to share their positive experiences with others, resulting in a more supportive work environment. I have found Joy to be reliable, confidential and highly professional. She is also a qualified teacher and fully understands the pressures and difficulties staff have in an educational environment."

" I had tried to give up smoking so many times, but always fell back into the same old habit after a while. I could feel that it was really starting to affect my health, getting out of breath very quickly and often coughing in the mornings. When John said that it would only take one session of hypnotherapy I was a bit doubtful, but the session was quite an intense experience and I came away feeling so positive and confident, quite clear in my own mind that I really was a 'non smoker'. The follow up session was also invaluable as it helped me to deal with the cravings and understand other after effects. I wish I had done it years ago, I could have saved a fortune!"
