As a PCOS sufferer, I've found in the past that facials help me cope with the acne I consequently have to deal with. I found a treatment , Croma Clear, offered by the Beauty Box through a Google search. While the treatment itself may be effective, the customer service I received from the therapist at the Beauty Box was absolutely appalling, and I would encourage anyone to look elsewhere for treatment. To start off with, my 'therapist' was young, ignorant and clearly hated what she was doing. She had no interest in talking to me, and clearly disgusted at having to touch my skin. During the facial she was unnecessarily rough - with what is already an aggressive treatment. She kept sighing and I heard her phone go off on several occasions. I had never had a Chroma Clear facial before, and she made no attempt to explain the procedures. On a couple of occasions I was left flinching from a scraping I had not been given time to prepare myself for. Having applied my stinging skin with a face mask, the beauty therapist left the room with no indication of when she would be back. I was left alone, my skin itching, for roughly half an hour, wondering if I'd been forgotten. When she returned, the therapist carelessly wiped the mask off my face, leaving traces around my hairline and neck. I left the salon feeling sore, greasy - but above all - completely humiliated and unattractive. I find it mystifying that a person who so clearly is disgusted by problem skin, and has so few personal skills (showing no empathy toward me), is employed by what claims to be a high-end beauty salon.
