Public Houses in Huddersfield
Lindley Moor Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD3 3TD
Hi, we are Austin and Trevor, we have been in the pub Trade since November 1998 and have been running THE WAPPY SPRING INN in HUDDERSFIELD since 2003. We started out at The Cavalry Arms, Halifax Road, after making this a successful local we decided to take on something different. The food side of the business was a total change from what we had been used to! Trevor took the role of front of house while Austin took an interest in the food side, and after four years working along side a few very good chefs took over the kitchen completely. Our restaurant has 17 tables, we strive to offer our customers a great meal at a reasonable price. The Wappy used to be known as being rather expensive and somewhere to go for a Special Occasion, but as times have changed so have our prices! That does not mean, however, that we compromise quality to do so. On the contrary: We guarantee the freshness of our ingredients and prepare everything just the way you like it. We are a local restaurant, use local products as much as we can and still keep the tradition of good food. We welcome families and whilst we do not have a Childrens' Menu we are able to offer smaller portions of most things on the menu, these smaller portions are also suitable for those with a smaller appetite. We can cater for for most dietary requirements and Austin is always happy to sit down with customers and discuss their specific needs. We are also a Pub so we are more than happy for Customers' just to pop in for a drink at the Bar or at a table, once we have finished Food Service, feel free to have a look at the menus while you have a drink.
