Awful customer service and bike delivery

Ordered a Specialized bike online. The much cheaper 2011 model was apparently now sold out in medium, even though no such comment was online. I went for the dearer 2012 model and was told how easy it would be to assemble. The bike arrived with a buckled front wheel. Sent the wheel back for fixing. The did so but forwarded it back, but not to the address I asked it to be sent to. Had to go out my way to pick it up from a local Post Office. Rung up to complain but was basically told, what is the problem, you have the wheel now right? Was told at point of sale that the gears had all been set up. First cycle out on it and the gears didn't work. Went to a local bike shop who re-aligned them for me at a cost of £15. Rung up Freeborn to complain yet again and to get a reimbursement. I was pretty much told I was lying and that I had no proof that the gears were faulty. Apparently their check list records showed it was all perfect before sending it out (obviously missed the buckled wheel then!!). I was also told that the small print of their delivery letter stated that if there was a problem then to ring their workshop for advice on how to solve it......except I didn't have a delivery letter, just a bike in a box. Again I was treated like I was lying. They told me they wouldn't reimburse me any money at all, it was my problem, the bike was all good before they sent it. I've left several messages for their manager to call me but 3-4 weeks later and no call has been forthcoming. Dreadful behaviour. I'm gobsmacked by their complete lack of customer care, their arrogance and their tone when dealing with the people who buy their shoddy product. I wish I'd read up on them before buying rather than just reading up on the bike itself. DO NOT EVER USE FREEBORN!!!

Had my Scott serviced by freeborn..never again! For what was done they couldn't give a quote but they seemed genuine but I never thought a service inc parts would be near £300!! There is also a very arrogant member of staff there who couldn't care less,I had a few issues with the bike that should have been done in the very expensive service but apparently because it left the shop it's my problem!! Please if your looking for a local bike shop use AD cycles!

Unless you want to buy a 2 grand bike they dont want to know you. And if they did entertain you they would make you pay oh how they make you pay , let me give you an example. 1 inner tube supplied and fitted £15 ! if you go to A D Cycles 31, Queen St, Horsham, West Sussex RH13 5AA it will cost you £9 YES £9 saving £6 . ohh and done in 5 mins , you have been told...
