The Mail and Sun readers seem to have a concensus that Lady Mawamba should be cast down a lion's den and the keys tossed inside for benefit. A little after the news broke, there were comments singing condemnation for the poor struggling learner driver who recruited the help of, one can only assume, reluctant husband, who braved the elements of one fine day in May to teach his beloved how to drive. One cannot help but notice that while we all want to drive safely and ariveat our planned destination in one piece, it is particularly heartbreaking with the number of accidents on the roads, (all over the world). If you have been following our tweets, you would have noticed that there's been a lot of media coverage concerning school busses, (mostly in the USA) and how they have been save by the most thought provoking circumstances. Children in cars can be quite daunting. School children in busses, is another matter. However, the spate of children in busses involved in collisions with other vehicles seems to be on the increase. There is hardly a day that passes, (in American press houses), without one realising there's been yet another crash. One recently was saved by one of the child-passenger contacting the mother to say the driver was irratic in the drive. There's been an explosion of court cases where the bus drivers have ended in court, charged and found guilty. Here in the United Kingdom, the pattern is ot so different. Bus drivers have been found over the drink drive limit, and other have been involved in multiple colisions. One can only hope that those bus drivers have been to some form retribution for such dangerous driving of at the very least some manner of re-training. In our private cars, parents should ensure their kiddie passengers are reinged in properly, toileted and made to relax for the duration of the drive, no matter how short the distance. Above all, expect the unexpected. They children after all. Our children. So let's drive them from one place to the other, perfectly safely.Tips: Plan the journey; plan the turns.Slow down in good time. Use your gears!Observe what other road users are doing. Keep back from unsafe drivers ahead of you.Keep a safe following distance. No tailgaiting!Don't over speed. You can stop better! If you live in Leicestershire click: driving lessons.

My first driving lesson with Jon-Matthews Driving School was fantastic. He was so calm and professional at the same time. I felt so relaxed and confident during the 90 minutes lesson. I enjoyed every bit of the lesson and went on to book more affordable lessons with Jon-Matthews. I will rate the service a 10/10 cause I absolutely learn't a lot from it, cheers mate :) Josiah

I passed my driving test for the first time today, after a 1 year break from driving. I wasn't very confident when I joined Jon Matthews Driving School due to a past experience, but Nduka helped me gain my confidence back. I think the 90 - 120 minutes long driving lessons work wonders in comparison to an hour as you can learn a lot more. Thanks for all your help and guidance!

I passed my test first time and couldn't have done it without the fantastic help of Nduka at Jon Matthews driving school. The lessons were great value and I loved the fact they are all 90-120 minutes long as you really settle into the car and feel comfortable. The online payment system is a massive bonus as it means I didn't have to carry lots of cash around to lessons. I was a learner driver in January, test ready by May and passed by June. Highly recommended.

The package I chose was a bit much to pay in one go, but they have installment plans. Do I have any concerns? Strict observation of road signs.

I recently started learning to drive with Jon Matthews Driving School. The driving lessons are structured in 90 or 120 minute sessions. So you have enough time to practice. I don't think the traditional one-hour would have helped as much. And I do always get to use up all my time. Did you know? The age at which the driver is no longer legally responsible for his/her passengers wearing a seat belt is 14 years and over. Do I have concerns? None! I have asked questions relating to driving lessons and my questions have been answered and I feel more confident.
