Martial Art Instruction in Reading
41-43 London Road
Taekwondo incorporates a range of elements stemming from traditional, sporting and self-defence applications, as well as the sophisticated kicking techniques for which it is famed. It is a challenging, worthwhile and satisfying pursuit. This friendly club in central Reading (open from January 2006) offers instruction all aspects of taekwondo by a highly-qualified 5th Dan Master and a female 2nd Dan. Through the British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB), members are insured by the British Taekwondo Council (BTC) and are affiliated to the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) as well as Olympic organisations. Few other clubs in Berkshire offer Olympic-style taekwondo. All welcome. Free trial lesson.
Wednesdays 8-10 pm and Fridays 6:15-7:45pm.
Kendrick School (RG1 5BN) - central Reading, close to Oracle Centre. For sports hall entrance, turn off London Road into East Street. The entrance is about 50 yards along East Street, on the right.

I've been going to Reading WTF Taekwondo club for a couple of years now and it's fantastic. Taekwondo is a brilliant martial art which will improve your fitness, strength and flexibility. The teacher at Reading is a 5th Dan, you will not find a better or nicer person to teach you. The atmosphere at the club is great and all new comers are welcome.

The only WTF style TKD within miles of Reading. The closest place I have trained in was Northampton, been looking for a local WTF session since 2000 with no luck. Finally this one was set up! These sessions are rare in the area and a must-attend for any WTF people displaced from their original sessions elsewhere due to university or work within the Reading area.
