About

About us

At Stanhope Park Veterinary Hospital our exceptionally high standards can be seen consistently throughout our 4 practices.

The biggest practice is based on Stanhope Road in Darlington and is an accredited hospital which can accommodate all types of major surgery. We also have a separate Cat and Exotics Clinic just round the corner on Duke Street, which is an extension of our Stanhope Road Hospital, allowing us to treat cats and exotics species in a dedicated stress-free environment!

The medium-sized practice is based in Yarm, and can accommodate outpatient surgery and all consultations. Our smallest clinic is in Middleton-St-George and can provide you and your pet with consultations and preventative treatments.

I have had 3 cats registered with this surgery, one of which had to be put to sleep several years ago. I must say that the staff and the service here is excellent. They are helpful, very knowledgable and friendly, and they were very empathetic when Soxx had to be put to sleep. I cannot recommend them highly enough

Testimonials

They have been fabulous with my bearded dragon Larry.. I took him in for a check up and I was informed that he needed an operation ( as suspected) so we booked in .. they have been very professional friendly and caring and done a great job .. I will be back for a check up soon to see how he is getting on .. highly recommended

Just visited the new Duke Street surgery specifically for 'Cats and Exotics' with my cat. A brilliant idea to have separate surgeries as it makes it a very calming environment for smaller animals (despite my cat having a not at all small frame). The receptionist kindly provided a towel with calming fluids to place on top of his box to relax him. The vet herself, whose name I can't remember (sorry!), was very calming to Dexter and a lovely person. Very glad I picked this surgery to visit after moving to the area! Thanks

Thank you so much for looking after Poppy and Indy so well over the past three days and allowing me to visit during their stay. So happy to have them home and doing well and appreciate so much for all you've done and the way you kept me updated. The new surgery for cats and exotics is fabulous as the twins were so much less stressed than during their previous visits
